Digital thaumatrope

For the Blend 2022 edition, I was lucky enough to collaborate with a super team on the creation of the festival titles. Directed by Erwin van den IJssel, the titles aim at reimagining the thaumatrope, by creating a progressively accelerating zoom that leads the viewer through three different scenes, eventually blending them.

The typography, integrated into this continuous take, is animated to match the flashing effect given by the thaumatrope illusion.
